Course Objectives:
Understanding of how power generation is determined. Understanding the infrastructure of how power is generated and controlled.
Knowledge of power production ebb & flow and tools local companies to affect the demand. Awareness of how power prices are determined.
Rerouting power based on sensors. Issues with determination of grid failure points.
Use of more intelligent power meters. Determination of appliance power usage & discovery of “vampire” consumption.
Future improvements / capabilities of the grid with smarter technology.
